- Ukrainian forces no longer have ammunition: COOKS AND MUSICIANS are now on the front line

Ukrainian forces say they are preparing for the "last battle" to control the besieged southern Ukrainian port city of Mariupol, AFP reports.

In a statement on Facebook, the 36th Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated:
"Today will probably be the last battle, because our ammunition is running out."

After defending the port for 47 days and doing "everything possible and impossible" to maintain control over the city, the Marines said that the Russian army "pushed it back" and "surrounded" the port, adding.

"It means death for some of us, and captivity for others," he said.
Russian forces said that the fighting had recently been centered around the Mariupol ironworks and the Azovstal steel plant and the port.
The Marines said that they were "gradually pushed back by the enemy" and "surrounded by fire, and now he is trying to destroy us."
"The mountain of the wounded makes up almost half of the brigade. Those whose limbs were not torn back are returning to battle. All infantry were killed, and the battle is now being fought by artillery, anti-aircraft gunners, radio operators, drivers and cooks. Even an orchestra," he said.




He complained that the support of the Ukrainian military leadership was lacking "because we were written off".

The southeastern city of Mariupol has experienced the most intense fighting since Russia attacked Ukraine. Earlier today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that tens of thousands of people were probably killed in the city.
